About Me
Hello! Welcome to my website. My name is Erin! I am an ACE certified a personal trainer, currently located in New York City (I'm a South Florida girl born and raised though).
Health and fitness have always been a huge part of my life. Growing up, my mom raised my sister and I to be extremely health conscious, and while as a young kid I was embarrassed when no one wanted to snack on bean sprouts and bell peppers with me, I am very grateful for this upbringing now (and proudly snack on my bell peppers and beans sprouts, haha).
Growing up, I loved being active, spending most of my time playing sports outdoors in my down time. When I got a little older I got really involved in training competitively for horseback riding, taekwondo, and dance (interesting combo-- I know).
When I left for college (Shoutout to my FSU peeps--Go Noles, baby!) I was stumped. I had always had a coach, a team, and a strict training regimen. Now what? I had NO clue how to write my own workouts, much less how to workout in a gym with equipment, and I'm the WORST at getting myself to do things I don't feel like I'm good at. It was a bad combo.
BUT my love for being active outweighed being uncomfortable, and with the help of some friends, a couple of trainers, and a whole lot of Google, I started getting into it and *shocker* fell in love with training in a gym setting. Now this is a whole different story for a different day (I was afraid to strength train because I didn't want to get "bulky", I felt totally out go my element and didn't know what to do, I was embarrassed and felt like everyone was staring at me... the list goes on), but, for the sake of this website and your time, I'll keep this short and to the point.
At some point along the way, it hit me that I have a passion not only for working out myself, but also a passion for teaching, for helping others, and for sharing the knowledge and the passion that I have for health and fitness. I knew that my next step was becoming a personal trainer.
After spending some time in corporate fitness, I've decided to take things into my own hands (I'm terrified but SO excited.) So, here I am, doing the damn thing.
Thanks for sticking with me this long, I truly appreciate your support, and I hope to hear from you soon.
Always,
Er

"Over the past 8 years I’ve worked with several trainers, 6 to be exact. I enjoyed working with each of them but, Erin truly took training to a whole new level.
I was in a car accident 7 years ago and it completely changed my lifestyle. I had to stop working out and became very sedentary. I was severely injured and thought I’d never be able to train again. I worked with many trainers and made some progress but, was never able to perform in the way I once did. Then I met Erin. With her attention to detail, she was not only able to point out my MANY compensations but, she also restructured my entire workout regiment which helped correct all of those imbalances.
Working with Erin has been nothing short of amazing. She has successfully helped me transform into the athlete I once was and help restore my confidence in the gym. Her attention to detail and clear queuing helped me understand exactly how to properly execute an exercise without allowing my other muscles to compensate. Every time I go to do a bicep curl I can hear her say, “get set in your stance, engage your core, pull those shoulders down and back, keep your elbows pinned, and pull up and fully release.” Something that seems so simple was nearly impossible for me until Erin and I started working together.
Thanks to Erin I have the knowledge and confidence to play sports and strength train without having the fear of injuring myself and for that I will be forever grateful."

“I’m the type who is often inconsistent with my workout regimen. At some points I’m committed 100% but end up burning myself out and falling into a lazy funk. Sometimes I’m uninspired at the gym - not knowing what to do and feeling too self conscious to try something different, so I end up doing the same routine with little to no results. BodybyEr workouts have completely changed my mindset. I often forget that fitness and wellness are not one and the same. Erin makes sure to consider both while putting together a plan that works. Every workout is unique so I’m never bored, but also never complacent. I don’t have to worry about if I have the right equipment, because BodybyEr workouts are designed with what’s available to me in mind. Nothing’s available? No problem. These workouts are tailored to help me reach and maintain my personal goals. I’ve stopped treating my goals like a finish line and started actually enjoying the journey with BodybyEr"

"I've found my forever trainer. And I don't say that lightly. Over the years, I've trained with three seperate trainers and enjoyed working with all of them. However, the results I'm getting with Erin are incomparable, which is crazy because I've only been working out with her for three months. I also always thought I was a woman who just didn't have the body type that would put on muscle, which apparently isn't the case!
By way of background, I was a long distance runner/marathoner for many years and did some strength training on the side. I got more seriously into strength training about three years ago. After a few weeks of a very inactive quarantine during the Coronavirus, I wanted to restart my training. A friend recommended Erin. We started with what was supposed to be a 20 minute phone call to discuss my goals. Instead, Erin talked with me for close to an hour to really understand my training background, what I wanted out of a trainer, and what had worked for me in the past. She was also just really fun and downright impressive.
I was initially a little skeptical about the quality of a training session over Zoom, but I actually bumped up my sessions with Erin so now we train together three times a week. I have very little equipment at home and Erin tailors every workout to what I have. I get my workout plan for the week the weekend before and every week/workout has been different. But it's Erin's training and attention that sets her apart. In our third week training together, she noticed my back and shoulder were uneven. I'd always thought I was just tight on one side, but she pointed out how I was compensating for muscle weaknesses in certain exercises. Over my protests (I never feel like I'm getting a workout unless I'm really sweaty), she incorporated a few days of rehabilitation training sessions. When we returned to doing regular upper body strength training, it was remarkable how much progress I had made.
I really can't say enough good things about her. I'd always been told I had good lifting form but she's made subtle tweaks that have made a world of difference. She customizes each workout to fit my goals and pushes and prepares me to do things that I never thought I could do (helloooo, pistol squats!). And above all, she's so kind and encouraging (and funny), while still never letting me off the hook/slack off. Working out with her is kind of like working out with your really fit best friend--the hour flies by and only at the end do you realize that you've turned into a pile of jello."
